Fraser is a great location for destinations both south and north on 40 in Grand Co. In the winter, world class skiing and riding at Winter Park resort (new for the 2018/2019 season is the gondola for easy, quick mountain access from the base), cross country skiing behind the Fraser Rec Center or at Devil's Thumb, snowshoeing on the many public access trails, or tubing at the Fraser Tubing Hill and the Coca Cola Tubing Hill. In the summer, mountain biking at the Trestle Bike Park at Winter Park resort, the Alpine Slide at Winter Park resort, hiking through the county on the endless trails, or head up to Grand Lake for Rocky Mountain National Park access and the beautiful mountain lakes. Also, Granby Ranch is just a 15 min drive to the north for more beginner terrain skiing in the winter and mountain biking and golf in the summer.
