This charming, eclectic hilltop cabin is truly one-of-a-kind. Built with warm caramel pine wood, decorated with plush antique furniture and surrounded by stunning mountain views, this home is the perfect place for a Rocky Mountain adventure. Built in the early 1900s, this quirky yet enchanting cabin has been added onto over the years and is now a wandering collection of winsome rooms that will delight every guest.
The former owner, Mr. Daley, was of Austrian descent and a consummate world traveler. His mother, Nona, would sneak to the Austrian mountainside to pick Edelweiss and it is for her family legend that this cabin is named. The home is still stocked with Mr. Daley's books, memorabilia and travel guides. His world map in the corner of the great room boasts of the many places he visited. This is all part of the charm of Edelweiss Mountain Haus, where guests will truly feel at home.
The spacious great room boasts exposed log wall that is part of the original cabin that makes up the bones of Edelweiss. The many mullioned windows provide both ample light and stellar views of the surrounding mountains. Multiple comfy sofas and floor-to-ceiling bookshelves surround a large stone fireplace, and a large oak table with seating for eight offers a great spot for dinners and conversation.
The living area leads into the kitchen, well-stocked with full-size appliances and well-lit with skylights. Just outside is the deck with a gas grill and outdoor furniture for summer relaxation and dining.
The first floor features two queen bedrooms, a completely remodeled full and half bath, and an easily accessible laundry area just off of the kitchen.
Head up the stairs to the loft bedroom, which features a cozy full bath, kitchenette with a microwave and mini-fridge, a small table for two and a full-size bed. A door opens to a roomy deck with million-dollar views of Lumpy Ridge.
Located minutes away from Rocky Mountain National Park and an easy walk away from downtown Estes Park, Edelweiss is the perfect spot for a charming, enchanted Rocky Mountain getaway. Book yours today!
