Longboat Key Life

Once a vacation land of the Timucuan and Caloosa Indians, Longboat Key is a quieter gulf-side retreat located between Lido Key and Anna Maria Island along Florida's southwest coast. The barrier island is surrounded by the beautiful Gulf of Mexico and Sarasota Bay. The island's eastern shoreline is covered in mangroves with hidden canals and marinas. On the western shoreline, you can walk for miles on the white sandy beaches and swim in the gentle gulf. Imagine spending your days beachcombing, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, sailing, golfing, or cycling along the island's winding bike path.

Longboat Key is known for its abundance of dining options. With the Gulf and Sarasota Bay in its backyard, many restaurants focus on serving local, fresh seafood while visitors enjoy amazing waterfront views.

Just south and across the bridge is bustling St. Armand's Circle, a popular destination filled with boutiques, cafes, restaurants and tropical landscaped courtyards. Review

1) Location is great / beach in back yard2) Hosts were very responsive / any minor issues they took care of right away / same day. That being said, I felt there were way too many warnings both in emails and stickers around the place, as in "don't steal the towels", "if umbrella flies off we'll charge you", "if you don't comply with check out instructions we'll charge you" etc. 3) giving 4 stars overall as the place itself still needs a bit work - 1 tiny tv in living room (none in bedroom), 1 night stand in bedroom (not 2 on ea bed side), 1 el. outlet in entire bedroom, across from the bed.. Also, while walls are not paper thin, you'll still hear neighbors - if you want to get up say 10am but neighbors are up 7am you'll be probably up with them.. Again overall great potential / due to location but they should invest some more in the building

I understand your thoughts on the signs- especially the umbrella is actually a major safety concern in Florida- a windy day and umbrellas can be dangerous so there is some special attention needed there. We work hand in hand with these homeowners to make happy vacations possible. Your feedback about the signs, TV and nightstand will be discussed. Enjoyed the location to the beach, beach chairs and especially the sliding glass doors that fully opened the room to the pationot shown in pics so was an added surprise. Appreciated that they allowed us in an hour early since the cleaning was done early and our flight arrived early. Will definitely stay again with Sky Run.
