This quaint little cabin is the picture of tranquility and simplicity. Blue Jay Bungalow provides the perfect launching pad for all of your Rocky Mountain adventures! Tucked away on a quiet mountainside in an older neighborhood of family friendly cabins, it gives the feel of an "old school" Estes Park vacation. Surrounded by rock outcroppings and tall pines, you'll love the mountain setting of this small cabin.
Blue Jay Bungalow will charm you from the moment you drive up. Instantly feel a sense of relaxation as you enter the lofty screened-in porch, which will tempt you to set down your bags and begin your vacation in that very instant! You won't have to worry about traffic as the kids roam free and explore the area. Have a sit on the porch and admire the awesome view of Long's Peak, the "14er" crown jewel of Rocky Mountain National Park!
Step into the great room, which features a moss rock wood-burning fireplace, perfect for taking the chill off cool mountain nights (the fireplace is currently under repair and cannot be used, sorry for the inconvenience). The cushy queen sleeper sofa provides an extra sleeping spot for your family or friends. A flat-screen tv provides entertainment for your vacation. The kitchen is small but efficient and well-stocked for cooking your vacation meals. A small breakfast table provides space for 4. Head outside the back door and you step onto a nice sized deck where a grill and large table is perfect for summer bbqs. There is an extra picnic table off the deck.
On the other side of the living room, you'll enter the master bedroom, which has a king size bed, a large closet, a dresser and a great view of Long's Peak. The second bedroom features a queen size bed, a dresser and a hardwood floor. While this room does not have a closet, there are hooks on the wall as you enter the bedroom and a convenient luggage rack. A full size bathroom, with a tub/shower combo and a large mirror over the sink, sits behind the great room across from the second bedroom.
There is not a washer or dryer in the cabin, but a laundromat is nearby at The Country Market at the intersection of Mary's Lake Road and Moraine Drive. This cozy getaway is the perfect "no frills" basecamp, very close to Rocky Mountain National Park and downtown Estes Park along with its many activities and restaurants. You won't have to go far to find some fun.
