Getting around You're in luck! Just a few blocks away, you may access Aspen Mountain (Ajax) one of two ways. For the gondola, walk down Durant street two blocks, that's it! Grab a quick bite at Big Wrap or a coffee at Gorsuch and head on up! If you are headed to any of the other three ski areas: Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk, or Snowmass, walk down Durant two more blocks to the Ruby Park bus station. Hop on the appropriate bus (buses run every hour, half hour, or 15 minutes via skier shuttle, depending on the time of year), which is FREE! To check the current schedule, please visit RFTA website. Getting around could not be easier! First means of transit: YOUR FEET! You are just blocks from everything Aspen has to offer, so walking everywhere is your best option. Trust you will enjoy it more. Should you want to get out of town, your best option is Aspen's FREE world-class bus system, RFTA (Roaring Fork Transit Authority).
