Are you looking for a spacious Log Home that is off the beaten path, but close to mountain activities? This beautiful 2 Bedroom with Loft in the foothills of Black Hawk, Colorado, beneath the Continental Divide is a great find. Lots of comforts and rustic charm. Enjoy a hot cuppa Joe on the deck while you plan your Colorado Adventure du jour. The cabin is located in a quiet mountain subdivision but the activities are not too far! Eldora Mountain Ski Area is only 30 minutes away! Nederland is also 30 and worth the visit! They have the incredible Carousel of Happiness and top rated craft breweries. There are countless trails to hike or bike, and the Gilpin Rec Center is a mere 1.2 miles away and offers fitness and swimming opportunities. The famous Casinos of Black Hawk and Central City are just 10 minutes away but you certainly wouldn't know it from the deck of this quiet home. Maybe that's because you are right next to Golden Gate State Park! Red Rocks Amphitheatre is only 37 minutes away. Other tempting goals might include snowmobiling, ice skating, whitewater rafting, Rocky Mountain National Park, Big name ski areas, Gold Rush memorabilia. Who knows why you're coming to Colorado, but it's easy to find the fun.
To access this home, you will traverse the Bridge-style driveway. The terrain here was tricky so the engineer decided to bring you in on top of a bridge of land. Please go slowly as there is a drop off on either side, but not for long. In summer, no big deal. In winter (October through April) please have at LEAST all-wheel-drive. 4x4 preferred. The big log 2-car garage will be the first building you come to. Feel free to park in here. There's lots of room.
The rustic charm of this Cabin provides you with enough room for everyone in your group. The large living room has a big screen TV with certain online/streaming options. The kitchen is open and welcoming. Cook up something memorable here! You should have everything you'll need! The dining area supports 6 diners. The primary bedroom is on the main level, too, with a luxurious soaking tub waiting for you in the attached bath room. Relax! You're on vacation! An additional half bath finishes off the main level. The classic, wooden railing stairs invite you up to the second floor, where you will find a bedroom with two twin beds and an attached bathroom with a shower. Also up here, there is a loft with a queen bed. The open to below floor plan connects the upper floor to the lower floor. There are full sized washer and dryer available.
Check out the deck. It's your engraved invitation to commune with the great outdoors!
