The log cabin is nestled in the midst of a picturesque mountain landscape, surrounded by tall evergreen trees and exposed granite boulders. The veranda extends from the front of the house, and is furnished with comfortable seating and a small table for enjoying morning coffee or watching the sunset. The spacious master bedroom boasts a handcrafted aspen bed with an organic king-size mattress, ensuring a comfortable and restful sleep.Large windows provide ample natural light and showcase the beautiful forested surroundings. The en-suite bathroom has a tub/shower combo. The kitchen is designed with a rustic charm, featuring handcrafted wooden cabinets and countertops. Custom tile paintings adorn the back splash and a curio cabinet bears a mug with our namesake's name on it. The kitchen is well-equipped with appliances and utensils, and has a wonderfully homey feel. The perfect place to cook meals and bake cookies!
The living room is warm and inviting, centered around a woodburning stove, creating a cozy ambiance during winter evenings. A cylindrical skylight penetrates the roof a floor above to let natural light fill the living room from many angles. A comfortable sofa and armchairs are arranged around a coffee table, creating a perfect spot for relaxation and socializing. The TV is "old school". Just a TV wired up for input from the VCR or the DVD player. A great conversation piece for the youngsters! A piano stands against one wall, encouraging music enthusiasts to play and create beautiful melodies.
(we cannot promise perfect tuning) The room is adorned with original artwork, showcasing a diverse range of artistic styles.
The mud room serves as an entryway, equipped with storage cabinets and hooks for coats, hats, and outdoor gear. The adjacent half bathroom is convenient for guests and provides a stylish design that complements the overall aesthetic of the house. There is a washing machine in the half bath but please note that there is no dryer. There is a clothesline outside and a drying rack inside and lots of clothespins! Colorado is a dry place and clothes dry rather quickly!
The deck on the south side of the house is designed to capture maximum sunlight, even during winter. It features seating for everyone. The first upstairs bedroom is designed for children, featuring two twin beds and a vibrant décor. It is well-stocked with a variety of children's books and games. The second upstairs bedroom doubles as an office and guest room, furnished with a pullout couch. It features four large skylights, allowing ample natural light to illuminate the space. You can spot the peaks of some distant high mountains of the Indian Peak range of the Continental Divide. The mountains are calling! And you must go! The room is a book lover's paradise, filled with shelves of books in both English and German, providing a cozy and inspiring atmosphere. Overall, this creative home combines the beauty of a mountain retreat with artistic elements, providing a tranquil  and inspiring environment for its guests.
