When we think of summer approaching fall, memories of days filled with long daylight, lakeside adventuring, and classic road trips fill our minds. Vacationing feels a little different in 2020 but, we thought it’d be a good idea to reflect the time of year and showcase 10 stellar late-summer destinations in the U.S.
1 - Galveston, Texas Families and Galveston are a great summer duo. Although it’s hot in August, you’ll stay cool with the beach breeze. Enjoy 32 miles of beaches and let the kiddos loose to enjoy the endless activities offered.
2 - Whitefish, Montana Whitefish will charm you before you know it. Relax in the small-town feel, play on the lake, and don’t forget to visit Glacier National Park next door. After a day filled with adventure, stroll into town to experience a glimpse of the unique local arts, culture, and cuisine.
3 - North Lake Tahoe, California We wouldn’t be lying if we said we like to visit Lake Tahoe all year round. But North Lake Tahoe holds something special in late-summer with its relaxed atmosphere, quietness next to its South Lake neighborhood, and overall serene feeling. We guarantee the weather will be perfect, ready for any type of adventuring or relaxing you have in mind.
4 - Park City, Utah Park City has the best of three worlds during summer—great temperatures, a historic, fun town, and breathtaking outdoors.
