With a vibrant downtown scene, there’s sure to be a restaurant in Breckenridge that’s serving the exact kind of Thanksgiving Day meal you and your family need.

Take A Seat at Their Thanksgiving Table

For many, Thanksgiving is a time of reflection and good ‘ol fashion family meals at the table…together. Typically, this means part of the family working feverishly in the kitchen which another part does his and her best to avoid any work or preparation, whatsoever. Wouldn’t you rather be in the latter? These three restaurants offer traditional, sit together Thanksgiving dinners. From three courses meals to what can only be described as 5 course events. Bring a full appetite, but you surprisingly won’t need a full wallet to go from tummy-rumbling empty to belt-busting full.

Blue River Bistro – the holidays are the perfect time to check out the Blue River Bistro. On Thanksgiving, BRB will be serving their delicious dinner menu starting at noon – 10pm. Reservations are strongly suggested, as this event is extremely popular. If you do happen to secure a seat for you or your family, consider reserving your spot at the table for a delectable NYE dinner at the same time.
Sevens – located in the Grand Lodge at the Base of the Peak 7 Independence SuperChair, Sevens offers unmatched views of the mountain, without the biting cold of outside. On Thanksgiving Day, Sevens will be offering traditional gourmet Thanksgiving meals, at only $40 a pop. A premium location and family friendly environment make Sevens a seemingly perfect place for Thanksgiving, without having to do the dishes afterward.
Modi's – in addition to their regular menu, Modi’s, located in the middle of downtown Breck, will also be offering a special Thanksgiving meal for only $28/plate.

Après Thanksgiving

If your idea of the perfect Thanksgiving Day includes some semblance of sliding down the ski hill (we know ours does), stop into these slope side eateries for a quick bite before getting back to bombing Peak 10. Live like a Breckenridge local and scoop yourself a side of skiing or riding with Thanksgiving dinner.

Motherlode Tavern – fill the void for home cooking at Motherlode Tavern. Known for it’s ‘homely’ fare Motherlode will be offering a Thanksgiving plate for $13.95. Skiing with a plateful of food sounds tough, so Motherlode will also feature a simple turkey sandwich to go. Plus, we hear finding white rice on a paper plate in the snow is somewhat difficult.  
Downstairs at Eric’s – slightly different location (and vibe), same great Thanksgiving Day deal. Eric’s will also be offering $13.95 traditional Thanksgiving meals, albeit unlike Motherlode the meals will be served over pinball machines as tables. Ok, Eric’s has plenty of seating but you may not want to sit down and instead may find yourself at one of Eric’s 25 arcade games, or standing in front of one of the nearly 30 flat screen TVs. What’s better than Après Thanksgiving? Après Thanksgiving + video games and sports!
Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant – how does FREE Thanksgiving dinner sound? It probably sounds like there’s probably a catch. And there is. But it’s a great one. While the price per plate is $0.00, donations to be distributed to local churches in Breckenridge and the surrounding area are HIGHLY encouraged. There’s nothing quite like giving back on the day of thanks. It is called Thanksgiving, not Thanks-taking, after all.  

Turn Away from Traditional Turkey

Experiencing Breckenridge is unlike anything else in the world. In that same tradition, maybe it’s time to branch out from the ordinary this Thanksgiving. Luckily, cooking is still optional. These Breckenridge establishments offer Thanksgiving Day specials that are NOT traditional turkey or stuffing, or at the very least have other food to offer as their Thanksgiving specials. So go ahead, try something new!
Briar Rose Steak and Chop House – serving trout, surf and turf, and prime rib
Quandary Grille – serving Thanksgiving Day prime rib, as well as surf and turf
Taddeo’s Ristorante Italiano – As you can tell, if you’re a fan of prime rib or surf and turf, the world…err Breckenridge…is your oyster. Taddeo’s will also be offering ‘special dessert treats,’ on Thanksgiving Day as well. $22/plate.

Finally Use those ‘High Altitude’ Directions

If you simply must cook, don’t be bland! Instead take advantage of unique Breckenridge bistros and merchants to kick Thanksgiving dinner up a notch…or ten! Conveniently located in the heart of downtown Breckenridge, be sure to stop in to Spice Merchants, Olive Fusion, or Ridge Street Wine/Breckenridge Cheese & Chocolate to find that special spice, oil, or dessert while dining in at one of SkyRun Breckenridge’s many stunning rental properties.

LOCAL NOTE: Don’t go to City Market (the local supermarket) on Thanksgiving Day, everything will be gone. Seriously. Plan ahead…or choose an option above to not cook at all!
